Itinda community development society (ICDS) is a registered voluntary social welfare organization for social action and economic development in an integrated way. ICDS was super headed by Kakali Mondal for helping support towards betterment of marginalised people and also people who are deprived, exploited and lead their lives in deplorable conditions. The group initiated social service program to help the discharged and to help them regain self confidence and new strength .this was done through interactive human relation exercise, personal attention and counselling the forgotten people .ICDS works with the people being a co-partner in their community life and plays the role as per their problems needs and aspirations.
Our main project is Juveline justice home (Children home for boys only) which is running at Bhooyarah, Mugkalyan, Bagnan, Howrah under JJ act.
The Juvenile Justice (care and protection of children) Act.2000. the philosophy behind this act is to consolidate and amend the law relating to juveniles in conflict with law and children in need care and protection by providing for proper care, protection and treatment by catering to their development needs, and by adopting a child friendly approach in the adjudication and disposition of matters in the best interest of children and for their ultimate rehabilitation.
The Child Care Institution is at present having a children committee which is headed by officer in charge/superintended of the home. Under him for three age’s group, `viz., 6-10 years, 10-14,14-18 years and 18 + years are functioning solely constituted by children and presently 94 children in our child care Institution
